It's Gnome Season at Green Bean Books!

Green Bean is Home to All Things Gnome this Holiday Season!

What is it about these tiny, mischievous creatures that have fascinated us for hundreds of years
? Is it their toadstool homes, their elfin smiles, or is it the stories they share with some of our favorite woodland fairies? If your gnomish curiosity is peaked, or you'd just like to learn more about this adorable species, come to Green Bean Books this holiday season to and find out all about these crafty critters! We'd love to introduce you to our magical gnome friends!

How did the gnome craze begin at Green Bean, you may wonder?

Alberta Street is having its first ever week-long Gnome for the Holidays event December 14th through the 22nd.  Over thirty businesses will have gnomes hidden in their window displays and participants can seek them out for prizes including a $25 gift certificate to Green Bean Books and an astonishing allotment of candy for an entire year provided by Candy Babel!

And to take it one mushroom further...

On Sunday, December 15th at 1pm Green Bean Books will be having our very own Gnome Forest Festival Celebration! We’ll be sharing gnome-y stories and helping children make their own adorable clothespin gnomes and sparkling mushroom wands to take home!

Afterwards, we encourage families to wander down Alberta Street and use your magical mushroom wands to help you spot all the mischievous gnomes cleverly hidden in the shop windows! Our Forest Festival Celebration is free but registration is required!
