Listen, Read, Explore, Create! Who? For Kids ages 4-10 What? Each session we will read books from or about a different region of the world and then we will make art inspired by what we have learned. Projects will include: drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, collage, and origami. When? 8 amazing Wednesdays from June 30 to August 18. We are offering two sessions each Wednesday: 11:00-12:00 for 4 and 5 year olds, and 1:00-2:00 for 6 through 10 year olds. Where? Green Bean Books! How? Preregister at Green Bean Books, 503-954-2354. Classes are $10 per session. All materials are included. Teacher? Joy Lai, local artist and art educator. She holds a M.S. in Elementary Education, a B.S. in Art Education, and a B.A. in Sociology. CBB is a a charitable organization whose mission is to provide books and literacy support to the children of low-income families in Portland. The CBB is aimed at preschool children in Head Start classrooms and the books are available free of charge. Help us support the Children's Book Bank by donating new or gently used books between May 1st and and June 1st. Our goal is to collect 1000 books!
