During World War II, there was a shortage of workers in the lumber industry to make the necessary items to help fight the war so thousands joined the Women's Timber Corps despite having no prior experience. They were determined to learn and succeed, and they did! Their camaraderie and dedication will inspire young readers today to step up and make a difference!
